Skulpturen

“I create pieces of art that often associate glass and stone. When I sculpt these materials, I explore thresholds that come to life as soon as they are exposed to light and ask questions about time, memory, what is considered to be sacred and how this is perceived. Progressively, this sculptural approach led me to think about glass in a more conceptual manner, as a shield and forwarding area capable of changing our environment.

Turned towards the working of glass in all its aspects, mixing hot and cold techniques –casting, fusing, carving, polishing- I attempt to draw near to the mysteries of the Universe through my creations.

My works go beyond the limiting confines of utility or mere display; my creations often take on architectural dimension and seek to inhabit, modify or create space. Combining the task of sculpting stones with the subtle and delicate sculpting of glass, I give to my work an innovative character where shapes and outlines become dreamlike matter.“
